Dr. Michelle Kwon, D.M.D

General Dentist

After receiving a B.S. degree in biology at the University of Illinois, Dr. Kwon attended the University of Pennsylvania (UPenn) School of Dental Medicine, receiving her DMD degree in 2005. She was the only person in her class to receive The Best of the Best Prosthodontics Award.

DR. MONICA KOWALSKI, DMD

General Dentist

Dr. Monica B. Kowalski is an experienced general dentist and oral pathology specialist who completed postdoctoral training in Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology at Columbia University College of Dental Medicine. With more than a decade of clinical experience across multiple states, she has provided comprehensive dental care in both private practice and academic settings. Dr. Kowalski offers a full spectrum of services—from routine cleanings and restorative treatments to biopsies and advanced dental procedures. She takes the time to truly listen to her patients, tailoring care to each individual’s unique needs and health goals. Her warmth and meticulous attention to detail foster strong, lasting relationships with patients of all ages, creating a positive and reassuring experience at every visit. In addition to patient care, Dr. Kowalski is passionate about education. She serves as a lecturer and clinical preceptor for dental assisting, hygiene, and doctoral students as well as residents and general dentists. She believes education is the cornerstone of lifelong oral health and plays a vital role in preventing and treating oral and systemic disease.

Got my braces off for the second time and thought it would be nice to write a review! My first experience with braces was very disappointing to say the least. I had them for over 3 years and my orthodontist totally disregarded my wishes. She basically told me that she was the doctor and I hired to do what she was trained to do so it didn’t matter what I wanted. Rude. This was NOT the case at Cornerstone! Dr. Choi was extremely polite and so willing to hear what I wanted from my ortho experience and my very detailed expectation of the results. He was honest and up front during the entire 18 month treatment and made sure I was happy before removing them. I can’t say enough good about my experience and I couldn’t be happier with the results!!!! But I should say I wasn’t surprised with my orthodontist experience here. I’ve been a patient of their general practice for almost 7 years along with other members of my family and co-workers. I’ve only had the best care from all the doctors, assistants and front office members. Thank you Cornerstone and here’s to hoping I’ll never need ortho treatment ever again!
